Founded in 1979 by Fred Tompkins, Unimach Manufacturing is more than a company specializing in precision machining and fabricating. Fred believed his company’s most important job was solving a customer’s manufacturing and maintenance problems. Before Fred retired, Douglas Bartosh, a former employee, had purchased Unimach in 2004. Doug continued to provide Unimach customers with all of the services they had known and loved since 1979. Doug grew the company to reach international customers and achieved more than 14,000 government contracts. Doug believed that quality service, reliability and accuracy are the ways of life at Unimach Manufacturing.

Current owner, Brandon Bauer, instills that belief as he continues to grow the company. Brandon started his manufacturing journey as a teenager in the Butler Vocational-Technical program. Upon graduation, following in his grandfather’s steps, Brandon joined the Marine Corps Reserves while continuing to work full-time as a machinist. He has assisted former employers set up their shops; machining, writing programs, and fabricating parts, until he seized the opportunity to work for himself. Brandon enjoys working with local shops and the sense of community that comes with the trade.
